Cranberry
Eggnog
Combine 1 cup eggnog and 1/4 cup jellied cranberry sauce in
a saucepan over medium heat. Add a drop of red food coloring,
if desired. Serve warm in a mug with a dollop of whipped cream
garnished with orange zest.
Peppermint
Eggnog
Combine 1 cup prepared eggnog and one 0.5-ounce peppermint candy
cane in a saucepan over medium heat; heat until candy melts,
stirring frequently. Add a drop of red food coloring, if desired.
Serve warm in a mug with a candy cane to stir.
Cherry
Eggnog
Combine 1 cup eggnog and 1 tablespoon maraschino cherry juice.
Stir in chopped maraschino cherries. Serve with a dollop of
whipped cream and a cherry on a stem.
Chocolate
Eggnog
Combine 1/2 cup eggnog and 1/2 cup chocolate milk in a saucepan
over medium heat. Serve warm in a mug with a dollop of whipped
cream garnished with grated chocolate or chocolate curls.
Eggnog
Punch
Any of the flavored eggnog drinks can be served chilled. When
serving chilled, substitute milk for some of the eggnog for
a thinner consistency. For an eggnog punch, add softened vanilla
ice cream to the desired amount of eggnog mixture in a punch
bowl. Top the punch with dollops of whipped cream and freshly
grated nutmeg.
Easy
Eggnog Cream Pie
Prepare two 3.4-ounce packages of French Vanilla pudding mix
using 2-3/4 cups eggnog and whipped cream (see following directions).
Add 1 tablespoon vanilla, if desired. In a chilled bowl, beat
one half-pint carton of whipping cream. Gradually add 1 to 2
tablespoons confectioners' sugar to whipping cream, if desired;
beat cream until stiff peaks are almost formed. Fold one-half
of the whipped cream into the pudding mixture. Spoon pudding
mixture into a graham cracker crust. Spread remaining whipped
cream over pie. Cover and chill until ready to serve. To serve,
garnish pie with freshly grated nutmeg.
